Notably, three lawmakers were chosen to join the Cabinet. President Lee plans to submit a motion to the National Assembly for confirmation of the new Prime Minister and other cabinet members as soon as the required documentation is ready.

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive invited outgoing Prime Minister Han Seung-soo to a Cheong Wa Dae luncheon today and thanked him for his dedicated service. The President asked Prime Minister Han to stay until the new Prime Minister is confirmed by the National Assembly though there is no legal requirement to do so.
