The President, Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama and Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao attended the first workshop for Korean, Japanese and Chinese young researchers at the Jeju Museum of Art to give them some words of encouragement on Sunday (May 30).

During this workshop, a total of sixty-two scientists from Korea, Japan and China are discussing four issues -Green IT, Green Energy, Green City, and Green Environment- under the theme of “the Green wave for Opening the ECO Future.”

The President remarked that it is vital to seek scientific and technological methods for green growth when the whole world is facing environmental and energy-related issues. He also added that this workshop should be a stepping stone for future scientists of the three nations.
