The President held summit talks with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Hanoi, Vietnam on October 29. The two leaders discussed mutual interest, such the success of the G20 Seoul Summit, global cooperation, and issues affecting the ASEAN region.
The President asked or India while cooperation and support for the agenda of G20 Seoul Summit, which Prime Minister Singh readily agreed to.
The two leaders agreed that cooperation between India and Korea has developed significantly since the establishment of a strategic agreed partnership in January of this year.
They also agreed to push ahead and enlarge the volume of trade between the two nations to help comply with the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), as well as cooperate further in the fields of nuclear power, national defense, IT, and science.
The East Asia Summit (EAS) also saw further agreements on cooperation between nations for East Asian stability and prosperity.
