The President arrived at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, Vietnam to attend the ASEAN+3 Summit on October 28.
The President will attend the Korea-ASEAN Summit on October 29 to deepen Korea’s relationships with ASEAN member nations and to enhance cooperation within the ASEAN region.
The President will then have join Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao to discuss ways to ensure the success of the G20 Seoul Summit, as well as issues affecting North East Asia, including the North Korean nuclear issue and six-party talks.
On the last day of his stay in Vietnam, the President will attend the East Asia Summit (EAS) to discuss global issues such as financial cooperation, climate change, and disaster management, along with security issues affecting the Korean peninsula.
