As one of the leading pro-Korean nations in Africa, Gabon established diplomatic relations with Korea in 1962. The nation boasts the third largest oil reserves among sub-Saharan countries. On the strength of political stability, it has recently been continuing high-flying economic growth. The Gabonese President’s visit this time is expected to further solidify friendship between the two nations and contribute to expanding substantive collaboration in all related areas.
